Are you living your purpose on purpose?
Living life intentionally is about knowing the reason behind your daily tasks—your Why—not just what you do day to day—that’s your What.
When you know the answer to your Why, you can create the vision behind the tasks. This, in turn, drives you from where you are to where you want to be. It helps you meet your goals and, ultimately, achieve your purpose.
That vision can support you. It helps you set your steps in the direction of your goal. When you focus on actions that put you closer to your goal, you can dramatically change your situation. This helps you cut back on tasks that don’t have a purpose related to your goal so you can make more time for the tasks that mark steps on the path to your greatness.
Though change can be scary, you shouldn’t be afraid of moving in the direction of your purpose. You should make every effort to do so!
Consider what your Why is. Let it inspire you. Let it drive you. Let it set the course and cut back on deviations from the goal.
It helps to get brutally honest with yourself. Too often, we wrap our “why” in pretty paper. Someone asks us why we want to start a business and we say things like, “Because I want to help people,” or “Because I want to be financially free.”
Go deeper. WHY? Even if both of those reasons are true, is it also true that you want to take a vacation twice a year? That you’re tired of never being able to afford the designer handbags? Is it true that you have something to prove to your ex or to your mother? Get real! That deep, brutally honest reason that you might not share with anyone is probably your strongest WHY.
Grab onto it, hold it tight and let it guide you all the way to the finish line!
