I failed!
I’m such a failure
Failure is my biggest fear
I would try but I don’t want to fail…
Poor failure! It gets such a bad reputation! We have been programmed to avoid failure at all costs. We have been programmed to believe that one of the worst things that can happen to us is failure.
And it’s for that very reason that so many people die with books inside of them, with masterpiece paintings never painted, with dreams still lying dormant!
Failure is not a bad thing. Failure is nothing more than information. Failure is a clue and an insight.
Failure isn’t telling you that you aren’t good enough. So then what IS the point of it?
Here are just a few things failure is actually trying to say to you:
This wasn’t the right thing for you. There is something better.
This is the right thing, but try a different way.
You’re almost there, but you have more to learn. So start again.
My guess is that if you spend a few minutes googling, you will find loads of famous people, authors, actors who failed over and over again before they succeeded.
You will also find people who credit failure as the biggest blessing they ever received because it set them on a different, more aligned path.
You see we always have a choice as to how we process failure. We can look at it as a tragic end, or a bucket full of information leading us more closely to our destined path.
Which do you think feels better? Which sets you on a higher frequency? Which is more fun to talk about over lunch!?!
Choose a more empowering outlook.
What is the miracle underneath the “failure?”
It’s always there. You’ve just got be willing to dig for it!
